چکیده
for Proposal: Although it is well established that dynamically optimal policies should be “closed loop” so that policies take into account changing conditions of a system, it is rare for such optimization to actually be carried out in large-scale simulation models. Computational limitations remain a major barrier to the study of dynamically optimal policies. Since the size of dynamic optimization problems grows approximately geometrically with the state * This paper draws extensively on Woodward, Richard T., Yong-Suhk Wui, and Wade L. A TWO-STAGE DAMAGE DETECTION METHOD FOR LARGE-SCALE STRUCTURES BY KINETIC AND MODAL STRAIN ENERGIES USING HEURISTIC PARTICLE SWARM OPTIMIZATION
In this study, an approach for damage detection of large-scale structures is developed by employing kinetic and modal strain energies and also Heuristic Particle Swarm Optimization (HPSO) algorithm. Kinetic strain energy is employed to determine the location of structural damages. After determining the suspected damage locations, the severity of damages is obtained based on variations of modal ...

متن کاملApplication of Nano-Contact Mechanics Models in Manipulation of Biological Nano-Particle: FE Simulation
Contact mechanics is related to the deformation study of solids that meet each other at one or more points. The physical and mathematical formulation of the problem is established upon the mechanics of materials and continuum mechanics and focuses on computations involving bodies with different characteristics in static or dynamic contact. Contact mechanics gives essential information for the s...
متن کاملSynthesis and Experimental-Modelling Evaluation of Nanoparticles Movements by Novel Surfactant on Water Injection: An Approach on Mechanical Formation Damage Control and Pore Size Distribution
Water injection is used as a widespread IOR/EOR method and promising formation damages (especially mechanical ones) is a crucial challenge in the near-wellbore of injection wells. The magnesium oxide (MgO) NanoParticles (NPs) considered in the article underwater flooding experiment tests to monitor the promising mechanical formation damage (size exclusion) in lab mechanistic scale include m...
متن کاملModelling Of Photovoltaic Energy Generation Systems
We present the development of a dynamic software simulation environment for modelling small and large scale photovoltaic (PV) energy generation systems. The model elements of solar panels, Maximum Power Point Trackers (MPPT) and solar inverters were integrated to a simulator system providing weather and power grid models as well as simulation of combustion power plants. The integrated system en...
